Birds on a Wire

In 2009, VOICETheatre is developing a new play entitled Birds on a Wire which was workshopped in August at Circle Lodge in Upstate New York. In the winter of 2010 we are working with two off-Broadway theatres who are presenting readings of the play. A full-scale production of Birds on a Wire is slated to open in late spring of 2010 in New York CIty.

Birds on a Wire, workshopped by the VOICETheatre ensemble and written by
Shauna Kanter, takes place in 1934 in Dalhert, Texas. It is about a family discovering their sense of community against overwhelming odds inside and outside of their farmstead in the Texas Panhandle.
